Bridgestone Argentina Group Signs a New Renewable Energy Supply Agreement with 360Energy Through Argentina's Largest MATER Solar Complex, Reaching 100% Renewable Energy Supply.
The company has signed a long-term solar energy supply agreement with 360Energy, Argentina's leading solar energy company, securing 5 GWh per year. This supply will cover 30% of its energy consumption, allowing the tire manufacturer of the renowned Bridgestone, Firestone, and Bandag brands to meet 100% of its energy needs from renewable sources.
This agreement marks a strong commitment by Bridgestone to fully decarbonize its operations by 2050. Through this supply, the company will power its Llavallol Plant in the Province of Buenos Aires for the next 10 years.
The supplied energy is equivalent to the consumption of more than 1,400 households. Additionally, by sourcing renewable energy from 360Energy, Bridgestone reduces its carbon footprint, preventing the emission of over 2,500 tons of CO₂ annually—emissions that would have otherwise been released into the atmosphere through fossil fuel use.
The energy will come from one of Argentina’s largest solar complex dedicated to private-sector energy production. Located in the Province of La Rioja, the complex benefits from the country's highest solar radiation levels throughout the year, with an estimated production of over 300 GWh annually.
