We participated in the Future Energy Summit Mexico, one of the most important events in the energy sector in Latin America, which brought together industry leaders and experts to discuss the future of renewable energy in the region.
Our Project Development and Technology Manager, Juan Pablo Alagia, participated as a panelist in the session "The Impact of Renewable Growth in Mexico on the Country's Competitiveness: Insights from Value Chain Leaders," where he shared 360Energy’s vision on the development of Mexico’s energy sector and the opportunities it presents to enhance national competitiveness.
💬 “We arrived a year and a half ago to develop projects—some more tailored, others with a broader scope—but we see the glass as half full. In line with what my fellow panelists mentioned, we believe that although there's still work to do to fill that glass, a new administration is in place, and the Paris Agreement targets have been reaffirmed... in that sense, we need to reach 35%, and more energy is required.”
💬 “Mexico is a country where energy demand grows between 2% and 3.5% annually. We all need to step up and bring forward proposals to support that growth—not only in generation, transmission, and distribution where necessary, but also in storage. It's time to test these technologies and take the next step. We need to move forward and mobilize combined efforts from both the public and private sectors.”
The Panel: Perspectives on Mexico’s Energy Future
The discussion covered key topics such as:
The growth of renewable energy in Mexico
Regulatory and infrastructure challenges
Opportunities to enhance industrial competitiveness
The role of public-private collaboration in the energy transition
Our participation in this event strengthens 360Energy’s position as a key player in the Latin American energy sector, and opens new opportunities for collaboration with other companies and institutions in the industry.
