On August 6, we participated in the Future Energy Summit Brazil, one of the most relevant meetings in the sector across the region. Pedro Mecabô Junior, our Project Manager in Brazil, was interviewed during the event, where he shared 360Energy’s experience and vision in the country, the market’s challenges, and the opportunities opening up to keep growing with high-quality solar energy.

“We identified that the country is going through a process of building the photovoltaic market, and this gives us a strong outlook for improvements,” Pedro noted during the interview.

Currently, 360Energy is developing solar projects in the automotive sector, in collaboration with Stellantis, while also expanding its presence in Mexico, Spain, and Italy. In Brazil, our team already has more than 110 people focused on renewable energy projects.

Betting on the PPA model and new technologies

One of the key focuses of our operations in Brazil is the PPA contract model, through which we aim to offer viable, competitive, and long-term solutions.

“Today, companies are starting to join with 15-year PPA contracts, which makes it more attractive both for those who sell energy and for those who consume it,” Pedro highlighted. “The market has matured a lot in the last three years.”

He also emphasized the progress in technological solutions such as hail-protected carports, which allow existing spaces to be used with efficient and safe structures, integrating clean energy into the system.

Commercialization, challenges, and synergies

One of the major challenges of the Brazilian market remains energy transmission. “There are plants with development potential that today cannot flow their energy due to lack of infrastructure,” Pedro explained. However, at 360E we continue working closely and engaging with stakeholders from different areas to promote joint solutions.

Another challenge is the market’s maturity regarding energy purchases. “There is still resistance from some large consumers who could enter this niche,” Pedro pointed out. “But it’s a matter of persistence. Day by day we are winning them over, and I’m convinced there will be a natural convergence in the market.”

Looking ahead: leadership and sustainability

The interview concluded with an inspiring perspective on 360Energy’s role in the region and the country’s potential:

“We are a showcase to the world. We have all the prerequisites to demonstrate how green energy can be developed in Brazil,” Pedro stated. “We are fully open to these types of synergies, and I believe we have great opportunities to continue growing in the photovoltaic market.”

Our participation in the Future Energy Summit reaffirms our commitment to the energy transition in Latin America and to developing innovative, sustainable, and long-term solutions.
